We are located at Tumbi Umbi, in the middle of the Central Coast, enabling you to easily travel to all places of interest. The beaches are a short drive away. Tuggerah Lake is walking distance. There is a shopping centre (95 shops) 2.8klm away.
We are experienced Central Coast tour guides and can advise you on the many things to see and do. We also run a separate business doing private day tours of the Central Coast. These can be tailored to your requirements.
Your reason for coming may be to escape, to taste nature, to discover, or have an adventure.
You can escape to a much more relaxed, slower pace of life. A return to simplicity. Things are getting faster, time shorter, demands higher. It changes us, it wears us down. A point comes when you just need to get away, to escape. Our place is quiet, relaxing, light filled. You look out across the tree tops while you enjoy your favourite drink. You can even see the golden sun rise from your lounge chair. You can stretch your legs and walk to Tuggerah Lake where you can experience tranquillity, nature and 25klm of lakeside paths.
Nature. Enjoy incredibly beautiful and unique Australian flora and fauna. We’re all on the treadmill in one way or another. Everything pushing and pulling us until we’re stretched so thin we don’t even recognise ourselves. That’s the time you need to disconnect to reconnect & reinvigorate. Be it along the sea front, rainforests, waterfalls or lookouts you will be refreshed. A perfect place to find yourself again. The State and National Parks offer a diversity of experiences.
Discover a world of new and enriching experiences. Too often we get swept along with the crowd and do what’s expected, tried and true. But we’re defined by our experiences. And the best experiences are of your own making, your very own discoveries.
You may prefer to discover the variety of local quiet unspoilt beaches where you can sit, walk, surf or fish, or explore the long jetties along Tuggerah Lake. You won’t want to miss the natural comical frenzy of the daily pelican feeding at The Entrance.
Fishing from land is popular, especially at The Entrance along the walkways. The Entrance is also the ideal and best location on the Central Coast for a fun day out cycling and exploring the area with over 25 km of dedicated bike paths along the lake. Convenient short term bike hire 24/ 7 is available using the Automatic Bike Stations. You can hire for as little as 1 hour.
If you want to experience wildlife, then at Morriset you can walk amongst a large number of kangaroos (with joeys) and see their natural behaviour, or at Avoca you can see 100s of active flying foxes hanging from overhead trees. There is also the very popular Australian Reptile Park and Australia Walkabout Wildlife Park.
For food experiences, there are factories where you can see and taste cheese, chocolate, fruit wines, non-alcoholic wines, distillery and brewery. On the weekend there are lots of markets.
Other places of interest include the Ken Duncan Photographic Gallery, Gosford Regional Art Gallery & Edogawa (Japanese) Commemorative Gardens, the historic Avoca Beach Picture Theatre and the Gosford Classic Car Museum (largest in the Southern Hemisphere).
Active pursuits. You may like to zip-lining in the tree tops one day and scuba diving on NSW’s only scuttled wreck, the next. Or there is Amazement (mazes for children), Glenworth Valley Outdoor Adventures (including horse and quad bike riding), Aquafun on Avoca Lake or Microflights. They’re just some one of the many adventures you can experience in The Central Coast.
